AI in Radiology

Lecture Series "Artificial Intelligence in Science and Society"/ Ringvorlesung "Künstliche Intelligenz in Wissenschaft und Gesellschaft"

20.07.2022 16:00  – 18:00

On Wednesday, July 20th, 2022, Prof. Dr. Ingrisch (Head of Clinical Data Science at the LMU Klinikum)  will present the lecture "AI in Radiology" a lecture of the lecture series "Artificial Intelligence in Science and Society."

Deep learning and computer vision have been tremendously successful for image analysis and image classification. This success has raised considerable discussion about the potential role of AI applications in the radiological workflow. In today’s lecture, we will showcase several applications of AI for radiological imaging data, and we will demonstrate the importance of not only asking the right questions, but also answering them with the right data.

The lecture is a component of the new minor "AI as a major Minor" (AIM@LMU, https://www.kiml.ifi.lmu.de/studies-teaching/ringvorlesung), currently in the planning phase, and open to all LMU students.

When: Wednesday 16h - 18h (c.t.)
Where: Geschw.-Scholl-Pl. 1 (A) - A 120, on-site, max. 120 seats
Language: English and German

Please note the currently valid Corona regulations at the LMU. In particular, wearing an FFP2 mask is required if the minimum distance of 1.50 m cannot be maintained.
